Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL | Specs & Release Date - Androplayapps

So the wait is over guys! Google just announced their new Flagship of the year named Google Pixel 2 an upgraded version of Google Pixel phone which was released last year.

CAMERA

This time the Google proved that this phone has the best camera ever which got the 98 points in DxOMark and beat the latest flagships of Samsung and Apple i.e, Galaxy Note 8 and iphone 8 Plusrespectively.
It has a primary camera of 1/2.6-inch 12.2 MP sensor and an f/1.8 aperture which can record videos at 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps and 720p@240fps,
 It is having front camera of 8 MP, f/2.4, 1/3.2" sensor size, 1.4 µm pixel size from which the video can be recorded at 1080p, the Pixel 2 camera is going to be extremely hard to beat.
Even when the iphone 8 Plus and the Galaxy Note 8 has dual cameras but still the Google pixel 2 manages to beat them with its Single Camera.
All of these smartphones (Apple & Samsung) rely on comparing and merging the images from two discrete cameras in order to calculate a 3D depth map of the scene. What’s unique about the Pixel 2 is its ability to sense depth using only one camera.
This is achieved by using an image sensor with ‘split’ pixels which generate slightly different ‘left’ and ‘right’ views of the scene.

UNLIMITED GOOGLE DRIVE STORAGE

Now the Google with its Pixel 2 provides free Google Drive storage for storing unlimited videos and pictures, this means more storage space left with your device which you can fill with other things.
The iCloud storage in Apple provides free storage upto 5GB but in Google Drive it's free of cost which saves a lot of your money from buying extra storage from these companies.

HARDWARE

The Google Pixel 2 is powered by 1.9GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with the GPU Adreno 540 and it comes with 4GB of RAM. 
It runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 which is gonna be upgrading as this device is made by Google itself so no need to worry about that.
It is IP67 certified - dust and water resistant (Water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes) .
It comes in two variants of 64GB and 128GB and there is no SD Card Slot to expand the memory.
It is a Single Sim device that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
It is having Non-removable Li-Ion 2700 mAh battery with fast charging support (7 hours use from a 15 minute charge).
The Pixel 2 XL hasNon-removable Li-Ion 3520 mAh battery.
 

DISPLAY

It has a 5.0 inches Amoled Capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with 441ppi. It comes with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Google doesn't released only one phone but there's another phone that's Google Pixel 2 XL which is not much difference but the Screen is a little different. It has 6.0 inches P-OLED capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels.

LOOKS & FEEL

As it is a Flagship device from the Android making company Google itself this phone must be premium in its looks and feel and it actually is. This phone feel nice in-hand with good-quality construction. They have all-metal bodies with the exception of a glass “visor” at the back. The back of the phone also houses the fingerprint reader. This time the Pixel phone doesn't have 3.5mm jack to connect earphones so to connect them you need to connect it with the help of Type-C cable which means now your can not charge your device while listening to music. It comes in the color variants of Kinda Blue, Just Black, Clearly White. The Google doesn't released only one phone but there's another phone that's Google Pixel 2 XL which is not much different but the Screen is different. It has 6.0 inches P-OLED capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels, everything else is same.

PRICE & RELEASE DATE 

The price of the Pixel 2 starts at $649 for 64GB and $749 for 128GB and for XL it's $849 (64GB) and $949(128 GB)
